How Much Does Bathroom Remodeling Cost?

Nobody publishes real numbers, so we will. Most bathroom projects we build across Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan land between $8,000 and $18,000, and a typical project comes in around $12,000. Here's exactly where that money goes, what moves the number, and how to think about the quotes you're comparing.

The honest ranges

Project typeTypical rangeWhat it usually includes
Wet-area refresh (walls + fixtures, same footprint)Below the low end of our rangeAcrylic wall system over new moisture-proof backing, new valve and fixtures
Tub-to-shower conversion (60" alcove, same footprint)$8,000 – $13,000Full tear-out, backing, low-threshold base, acrylic walls, glass or curtain
Conversion with accessibility features$10,000 – $15,000Above plus barrier-free entry, seat, grab bars in blocking, handheld head
Full-bathroom scope$13,000 – $18,000+Wet area plus vanity, LVP flooring, paint, drywall, storage, doors
These are ranges, not quotes. Your written number comes after we've laser-measured your actual room — that's the only honest way to price a bathroom.

What pushes the price UP

  • A larger footprint or full-bathroom scope
  • Moving plumbing (relocating the drain or valve wall)
  • Barrier-free / roll-in entries — the floor structure has to be rebuilt to slope
  • Premium marble- and stone-look acrylic patterns
  • Custom vanities and built-in storage
  • Hidden moisture or framing damage behind the old tub (we show you photos and price it in writing before continuing)

What keeps the price DOWN

  • Keeping the existing 60" alcove footprint
  • Wet-area-only scope — leave the vanity and floor for later
  • Reusing fixtures that are genuinely sound
  • Standard acrylic patterns instead of premium

Why the cheap quote is cheap

When a national brand or a low bidder comes in thousands under, ask one question: what goes on the wet walls behind the panels? A liner over the old tub, or panels glued to bare drywall, saves them days of labor — and leaves moisture problems sealed inside your wall. That's the corner being cut. We install moisture-proof backing on every wet wall of every job, which costs more on day one and is the reason the work still holds at year fifteen.

Who should NOT hire us

  • If the lowest possible price is your only criterion, a big-box install will beat our number — with big-box materials and a third-party crew.
  • If you want a same-day liner over your existing tub, that's not a service we offer.
  • If you're outside our 60-mile radius of Toledo, we'll say so rather than stretch.
